About Allison Gentz, LMFT

Allison Gentz, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist who obtained her licensure in 2019. She brings over 10 years of experience to the Ocean Psychiatry team located in Fremont, California.

In 2006, Allison earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California. In 2010, she earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University in San Diego, California. 

Allison believes in a straightforward approach to therapy using cognitive behavioral and solution-focused orientation. She believes that everyone can make changes with support and guidance. That's why Allison's therapy is a collaborative effort for everyone involved.

She's worked with a diverse population of patients, including those with substance abuse, trauma, autism, and development delays. She’s also worked with patients in foster care and jail/prison.

Allison accepts the following health plans: Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield – Magellan, Cigna, Aetna, MHN, Kaiser, and Tricare. 

She is currently accepting new and existing patients.
