Tara Ericksen firmly believes it is never too late to heal. Throughout her career as a nurse practitioner she has been passionate about helping clients from all ages and backgrounds with their mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Tara believes that healing is the intersectional effect of trauma and mental health. As a nurse practitioner of trauma-informed care, she has aimed to empower her clients through education, compassion and evidence-based integral medicine. Tara specializes in complex PTSD and women’s health; and focuses her practice on pelvic pain, trauma, and infertility.
As an Oregon native, Tara went to Pomona College for her undergraduate degree and Columbia University for her Bachelors in Nursing. While pursuing her career as a nurse practitioner at Georgetown University, she worked as a critical care and behavioral health nurse. Tara has been introducing Adverse Childhood Events (ACE) scoring at the facilities she is associated with. Through ACE Tara believes her patients will better understand how past trauma affects their current health. Most recently she has been working at a psychiatric urgent care facility in San Francisco and at a low-income women’s healthcare clinic.
